The Dunedin Comic Collective have just assembled DUD#2, a comix and music anthology featuring 24 comics, 30 songs and an essay on the history of Dunedin comics, all written and put together by folks from our fair city and a few friends from out of town.
We are celebrating with launch events on successive evening open to all to come along!

Launch 1: @Teen Space, 2nd floor, Dunedin Public Library (Wednesday, May 4 · 5:30pm - 7:30pm)
The first launch will feature music from contributors John White (Mestar, Mental Health Triangle, The Plasterers), Robert Scott (The Bats, The Clean, The Weeds, Electric Blood) and Grant Ramsay (Swampy)
There will be food and drink and maybe an animation or 2. The last few copies of DUD#1 will be on sale aswell as T-shirts and there will be a bit of a drawing jam with the cartoonists.

Launch 2: @ Refuel Bar, Otago University (Thursday, May 5 at 9:00pm - May 6 at 12:00am)
The second of our 2 launches will take place at Re:Fuel at the university from 9pm sharp and will feature music from contributors Opposite Sex, Robert Scott (The Bats, The Clean) and The Doyleys.
Again, the last few copies of DUD#1 will be on sale aswell as awesome t-shirts and lots of drawing!

A page from Fane’s contribution, “Talkin’ ‘Bout the Fridge”, a talking book by Fane Flaws with lyrics by Fane Flaws and Arthur Baysting. The Living Hamsters have done an accompanying song.
Fane Flaws is an artist, musician, film-maker, animator, and more. Amongst other achievements perhaps his best known are playing in legendary NZ bands The Crocodiles and Blerta and his successful children’s book, “The Underwater Melon Man”
His website is unsurprisingly wicked also.
